Flyover Patio
When it comes to outdoor living, sometimes bigger is better. Our dear customers in Willow Vale wanted more space to live and breathe outdoors.
The Brisbane team worked closely with our customers to use the many advancements in outdoor roofing. With a design confirmed, our team set to work by clearing the old patio.
Constructed from 175mm insulated panels, the new patio roof incorporates insulation and structural strength into the sheet. Modern insulated roofing can span greater distances without compromising on strength. This allows fewer support beams and posts to be used.
Measuring in at 10m x 8.5m, the new roof extends into the pool area offering a shady place to relax between plunges. For this project, the post count was reduced from 5 to 3 despite increasing the covered area.
Unlike the old roof, the new patio ceiling sits significantly higher. The ‘flyover” design mounts well above the gutter line of the home and vastly improves air circulation and natural light. The elevated roof height also adds to the open feel of the new patio.
